We thoroughly enjoyed our game at Chequers. Very friendly and efficient service from the staff we dealt with. The course was in terrific condition, well kept fairways and lush (small) greens. It’s a long and dog leggy course. The beer garden was welcoming afterwards to enjoy a well earned drink.

This course is a real gem that has a reasonably challenging layout with lots of dog legs and some water hazards. The greens are tiny but the whole course is very well kept and it's a very short drive from the city now that the freeway goes through most of the way.This is a lot better option than most of the metropolitan public courses as it's usually uncrowded and both the greens are fairways are in better condition. There is minimal rough off the side of the fairways so if you're off target you're in the trees but you're unlikely to lose your ball.

We took advantage of the Scoopon deal, this course has improved out of sight, with the reticulated fairways lush and green, and the greens were immaculate, well worth the drive.

Good value golf course but facilities are basic and it’s best to visit in the winter months as the course can dry out in summer. Small greens will test your iron play!
